A meeting with the United Nations Secretary-General was held with the participation of civil society, citizen groups, youth leadership, human rights activists, and political representatives.
The meeting took place on Saturday (March 15) at 1 PM at the Hotel Intercontinental in the capital. Present at the meeting was legal advisor Asif Nazrul.
Also in attendance were Information Advisor Mahfuz, Adviser for Industry and Housing Public Works Adilur Rahman Khan, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed, Jamaat's Deputy Amir Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Secretary Miah Golam Parwar, NCPI Convener Nahid Islam, General Secretary of Amar Bangladesh Party Asaduzzaman Fuad, President of Nagarik Oikya Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Badiul Alam of Sujan, Executive Director of TIB Dr. Iftekhar Hossain, and Ekushey Padak awardee Shahidul Alam.
Also present were prominent media personalities, human rights activist Mohiuddin Amin, along with student and youth representatives from across the country and NGO representatives.
