However, his health has now become critically deteriorated. The veteran singer is currently admitted to the ICU of Kolkata's SSKM Hospital.
According to a report by Indian news outlet Zee News on Tuesday (February 11), hospital sources said that after undergoing intestinal surgery, Pratul Mukhopadhyay suffered a heart attack. His condition rapidly worsened, and he also developed antibiotic-resistant infections and pneumonia. The situation is becoming increasingly complex, and the veteran singer is currently unconscious. A medical board has been formed to monitor his condition.
On Monday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inquired about Pratul Mukhopadhyay's health.
Earlier, in the first week of January, the creator of "Ami Banglar Gaan Gai" was hospitalized in SSKM due to serious illness.
