There have been several allegations of spot-fixing surrounding Enamul Haque Vijay. As a result, immigration authorities have been informed not to allow him to leave the country for the time being. However, the allegations have not yet been proven.
During this season’s BPL (Bangladesh Premier League), accusations of spot-fixing emerged right from the start. In response, the Anti-Corruption Unit of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has requested the relevant government agencies to ensure that Enamul Haque, the player for Durbar Rajshahi, is not allowed to leave the country. A source, who wished to remain anonymous, confirmed that an official instruction has been issued to the immigration department regarding this matter. Necessary actions have been taken accordingly.
This restriction is temporary, and if the investigation by the Anti-Corruption Unit clears Enamul of any wrongdoing, the travel ban will be lifted.
It is worth mentioning that Enamul Haque Vijay was the captain of Durbar Rajshahi at the start of the season but was later replaced by Taskin Ahmed.
Enamul is not the only player involved, as several other Durbar Rajshahi players are also under suspicion for spot-fixing. In addition, Anti-Corruption Unit is monitoring p layers and officials from at least three other teams.
